AI Assistant for Instagram: Build Auto-Replies by Voice in Admino
If you have ever built an Instagram auto-reply, you know the path: several screens, several choices, a keyword you have to spell exactly, a text you have to write, a setting you forget and discover two days later that nothing fired. It is not a bad tool. It is just too long for someone who wants to set up one small thing in the minute between two customers.
The Admino assistant exists for that minute. Instead of walking through forms, you say the sentence you would say to a colleague: "when someone comments price under my post, send them the price list." The assistant turns it into a plan, shows it to you and builds it only when you confirm. This guide explains what it does, where to find it, what it never decides on its own and how to phrase requests for the best result.
The assistant and smart direct with AI
The Admino assistant builds your smart direct rules, and smart direct with AI is what answers from your shop's information when no rule does. They complement each other: with the assistant you build your regular rules and the AI covers the rest of the questions. You can try all of it in the free trial; that is what free smart direct means.
What is the Admino assistant?
The Admino assistant is an AI assistant inside Admino that turns your intent into real settings. The difference from a general chatbot is that it works on Admino's own tools: Pasokhino (DM and comment auto-replies), the welcome message, automatic forms, the saved-reply library, Foroshino products, and the ice breakers and persistent menu. So instead of answering "how do I build an auto-reply?" it builds the auto-reply.
And because everything it builds stays in your hands, you do not have to "trust" the AI. You read one card and say yes or no.
Where do I find the assistant?
The assistant has a fixed place, but because every screen is a different size you will see it in a few spots:
- In the web panel: a large "Ask Admino" card at the top of the menu and dashboard pages, with a moving orb and a field that shows example sentences one by one.
- In the top bar of the web panel: a coloured purple-to-pink button with a sparkle, beside the notifications bell.
- From the keyboard: Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) opens and closes the assistant from anywhere in the panel.
- On a narrow browser window: the button sits at the bottom of the side menu, the one the menu button opens.
- In the mobile app: the "Ask Admino" card on the Home screen, with the orb and a microphone.
If you see none of them, the assistant is not switched on for your workspace yet. Update the app and check again a little later.
How do I talk to it?
By voice
Tap the microphone and speak. Your words appear on screen as you say them, and in the mobile app a sound wave moves with your voice so you can see the microphone is hearing you. When you are done, press the round button; it changes to "writing it down" at once and your text appears. Now you can read it, fix any word it misheard and then send. Nothing happens until you send. The microphone is on only after you press that button, listens for at most a minute, and the recording is deleted after it is turned into text.
By typing
The text box is always there. Type when your hands are busy or you are somewhere loud. There are also tappable examples under it that drop into the box so you can change them.
What does it build?
- Auto-replies (Pasokhino): keyword, DM or comment or both, a public reply under the comment, followers only, and once per person.
- A welcome message for each person's first message.
- An automatic form with questions and a start word.
- A saved reply in the library, with no automation attached.
- A product in Foroshino, always paused: nobody can order it until you confirm.
- Suggested questions above a new chat, and the persistent chat menu.
A few sentences that work:
- "When someone writes shipping in a DM, say orders arrive two working days later."
- "Make a welcome message that greets the customer and asks how we can help."
- "Build a sign-up form with three questions: name, phone and city. Start it with the word register."
- "Reply under the comment of anyone who writes hello under my posts."
Everything is created switched off
The assistant's most important rule: whatever it builds is off. An auto-reply it made will not answer a single customer until you switch it on in Pasokhino. A product is paused. A form is off. That means the worst possible outcome is something you do not like and delete yourself, not a wrong message reaching your customer.
Before building, the plan card writes everything in plain language: which word, what reply, for DMs or comments, and how many credits it costs. Only when you press "Build it" does the assistant start.
Two exceptions that go live at once
Suggested questions and the persistent chat menu are shown inside Instagram itself and are visible to every customer the moment they are saved. So the assistant does not create these switched off; instead it writes a confirmation sentence stating exactly what will appear on your page, and publishes only after you confirm. If you undo it, your page goes back exactly as it was.
After building: see it and switch it on
In the mobile app, when you confirm a plan the button becomes a "building" bar and then a card with a tick says it is built. Under it is a button, "See it in …", that takes you straight to the screen where it was built: Pasokhino for a rule, the welcome message, forms or products. There you read it, change it and switch it on. If you do not want it, "Undo" sits on the same card and removes what was built.
"For my last post": a rule for exactly one post
A very common wish: "under my new post, whoever writes price, send the price list." Say that and the assistant reads your page's newest post from Instagram and attaches the rule to that post only. The plan card says "only for the last post" and shows the start of its caption so you can check it picked the right one.
"Last" means the post that was newest the moment you spoke; if you publish another before you confirm, the rule does not move. And if the assistant cannot find your latest post it builds nothing and tells you why. It never falls back to making the rule for every post, because that is exactly the mistake a "one post only" rule exists to prevent. For any post other than the latest it does not guess either: it asks, and tells you to choose that post yourself in Pasokhino.
It answers too, not only builds
The assistant is not only a builder. It also does several things that change nothing:
- Ask "is my page healthy?", "how many automations do I have?" or "how many credits are left?" and it reads the answer from your real workspace, not from a guess. The same for orders, scheduled posts, your plan, leads, scenarios, page analysis and storage.
- Ask "why did this customer get no reply?" and it looks at your page and your rules to tell you the reason.
- Ask it to switch on what it built and, after you confirm, it does.
- Say "I want to post that …" and it opens the publishing screen with the caption ready; you pick the photo or video.
- For what it cannot do, such as refunds, deleting data or changing your plan, it hands the conversation to a support person.
It also answers a hello or a thank-you itself, at no cost.
What it never decides on its own
This matters more than what it does, because trust comes from here:
- It does not invent the text sent to a customer. If you say "send the price list" without writing the list, it asks where the list is.
- It does not write prices, addresses, opening hours, links or promises you did not give.
- It does not accept a reply that only announces something was sent ("the list has been sent to you") because the customer wants the list itself.
- It does not switch anything on without confirmation, and it does not delete something you edited after it was built.
How should I phrase it?
- Say what the customer writes or does ("when someone writes price"), not the name of a setting.
- Say what the reply should be, and if you have the text, say or paste it.
- If a specific post matters, say "my last post".
- If only followers should see it, or each person should get it once, say so in the same sentence.
- If the assistant asks a question, answer in one short sentence; asking is always cheaper than building the wrong thing.
What does it cost?
The assistant draws on the same monthly AI credit allowance that AI replies and Hooshino use. Building a plan costs more than answering a simple question, and the amount is written on the card before you confirm, so there is no hidden cost. So that talking to the assistant never stops your customers from getting replies, part of the allowance is always held back for customer replies and the assistant does not spend it.
The assistant or the regular forms?
The regular Pasokhino forms are still there and are better for someone who wants every option. The assistant is for when you know what you want and do not have patience for the steps. Most businesses use both: they build a rule with the assistant and edit it in Pasokhino for the details.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about this guide
How is the Admino assistant different from ChatGPT?
A general chatbot only writes text, and you have to copy and set it up yourself. The Admino assistant works on Admino's own tools: it actually builds the auto-reply, welcome message, form or product in your workspace, switched off, and you confirm and switch it on.
What happens if the assistant misunderstands me?
Nothing reaches a customer. Everything it builds is switched off, and before building you see a card that writes it all in plain language. You can correct the text, decline the plan or undo it after it is built.
Where do I see the assistant?
In the web panel the "Ask Admino" card is at the top of the menu and dashboard pages, with a coloured sparkle button in the top bar and the Ctrl+K shortcut. In the app its card is on the Home screen. If you cannot see it, it is not switched on for your workspace yet.
Can I build an auto-reply for only my last post?
Yes. Say "for my last post …". The assistant reads your newest post from Instagram, attaches the rule to that post only and shows it on the card. If it cannot find it, it builds nothing.
Does the assistant work by voice?
Yes. Tap the microphone and speak; your words appear as you say them. When you are done, read the text, fix it and send. The microphone is on only after you press the button and the recording is deleted after it becomes text.
Does the assistant work without a subscription?
The assistant works with your subscription's AI credits. Without an active subscription tools and messages do not reach customers either. The pricing page has the details and the trial.
